The Burgers Program 2024 Summer Research School on Fluid Dynamics Topics in Turbulence

This Summer School, the fourth following those in 2010, 2015, and 2018, will bring together graduate students and distinguished instructors from several different scientific disciplines to spend one week fully focused on the topic of turbulence. The Summer School is an opportunity for participants to develop a both deeper and broader appreciation and understanding of turbulence, and offers a unique opportunity for them to build their professional networks.

Space-Time Coordinates
The Summer School will be held during June 3-7, 2024. Lectures and tutorials will be held at the College Park campus of the University of Maryland. Participants will be housed within easy walking distance of the lecture hall.
Applications
Application can be made at larsson.umd.edu/summer-school-2024. A limited number of participants can be accommodated. Full consideration will be given to advanced graduate students who have had an introductory graduate level course in turbulence and who apply before the deadline of February 1, 2024.
Funds are available to participants from outside the metro Washington, DC, area for travel and lodging.
